MEET YOAN

Yoann Albert (AYCA Photography) is a French street photographer based in Kuala Lumpur, whose work blends photography, storytelling, and poetry. Through his images, he seeks to capture not only moments, but the emotions, memories, and invisible narratives that shape them.
Originally from Nancy, France, he walks in the footsteps of a family of photographers, which has deeply influenced his artistic path and sensitivity to images. His work is inspired by the universe of The Little Prince, and he sees himself as a curious fox exploring the world—observing, understanding, and creating meaningful connections.
Living in Malaysia for the past six years has allowed him to discover many of its hidden facets, enriching his perspective and nurturing his visual storytelling. His practice is rooted in street photography, capturing authentic scenes of everyday life across Southeast Asia, including places such as Hong Kong, Bali, and Vietnam.
By combining visual composition with a narrative and almost lyrical dimension, his photography goes beyond simple documentation—it becomes a way of telling stories, evoking emotions, and revealing the subtle beauty of ordinary moments.
